Cyanne’s Christmas Village Collection
We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!I had a lovely time spent with family on Cape Cod.
An up close picture of our thankful meal, nothing like fresh apple cider! While I was there I spied my mother’s holly tree in full bloom, she let me take as much as I wanted, and I promised Linda
that I would bring some to her on Sunday when I get to see her home decorated for Christmas!Below is a picture of my mother’s massive holly tree.Every year around this time when the berries ripen, flocks of starlings and robins will eat all the berries all in one day even before she gets to use the sprigs, how dare they!
This is what I’ve done so far ,tomorrow I’ll add some greens above the door.I wrapped fresh evergreen around the lamp post and tucked in the holly here and there. The holly really adds a pretty red touch!
I tucked the holly along with winterberry, evergreens, pussy willow stems, and some sparkly pinecones into my milkcan.
Next week we have some exciting things going on at APP,be looking for our December Featured Home, all decked out for Christmas! You’ll be sure to love this one!
Prim Blessings,
Bonnie

HERE IT IS...OUR NEW CHAIN PACKAGE!!! ...This is going to be a little different then the last one that we did (for those of you who participated)...as this one is going to be a TEXTILE package.
I know there can be a lot of different "meanings" to the word Textile...but, I want this swap to be a "Linens" textile swap!....this will keep the package weight very light and really pretty inexpensive!...and we all like inexpensive when it comes to PO mailing!!!
So, I want everyone to think of items like: homespun towels, stitcheries, embroidered flour sack towels, fabric bowl fillers, fabric Ornies, table runners, candle mats, etc.!!!!
I’ll be taking names via a pm in the forum until Nov.20th, the package starts moving on Nov. 23rd.

Carla just purchased these lovely Belsnickle Santas at a craft show.We can’t wait to see where they get displayed !
Belsnickles were made in Germany as early as the 1870’s.The original name for them was Pelz Nichol which was later changed to Belsnickle by immigrants coming to the United States. They usually have a stern face and carry a feather tree sprig. They’re a coveted item amongst some holiday vignettes, and you can see why!

Here’s a little Christmas craft that kids will love to do!I made these last year from a recipe that Colleen (And Baby Makes Five) had shared, aren’t they adorable. They’re easy to make, and they look cute displayed in a bowl or on a plate, and they also can be used on a wreath!
Colleen’s Recipe
~**~**~**~
To make 6 snowmen faces, mix up the following:
1 cup salt
2 cups flour
1 cup water
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Divide dough into six equal pieces and set aside a seventh (smaller) piece to use for the carrot noses. You won’t need too much for those as the dough goes a pretty long way.
Place your dough faces--which you can form into balls in the palm of your hand--on a lightly greased cookie sheet and set aside while you roll out your carrot noses. I do those by taking a pinch of dough and rolling it in my hands until it looks right.
When all of your noses are ready, use and old paintbrush dipped in water to moisten the noses. Use the same brush to moisten a portion of the snowman face as well. Press each nose lightly in place and smooth out the edges to get a good seal.
In my oven, these snowmen faces often need to bake for about 90 minutes or more. I usually check every 30 minutes or so to make sure they aren’t getting too dark. I also like to let them sit for a few days after baking…just to make sure that the are nice and hard.
Once these dry, I sealed them with some spray poly and sprinkled each snowman face with clear glitter.

~Just about this time every year I start to think about gathering up some Winterberry for my outdoor decorating. The hunt then begins! The Winterberry shrub tends to grow in wetlands, and is a member of the Holly family.
They lose their leaves in the Fall to reveal bright red berries,so they can easily be spotted in the woods.I have been known to be in my car scanning the woods for hints of red as I’m driving, although I don’t recommend this! It’s better to go on foot. The next time you’re out for a walk or hike, the outdoors is the perfect place to find all the rustic and natural elements you’ll need to add to your holiday displays,
and it brings you back to colonialism…simple & natural decorating.

This is my bundle from last year
I put some in this red bucket, and added some greens from the backyard, and a primitive snowman for whimsy.
Birds love Winterberry, so I then made a wreath for my bird house, adding some pinecones as well. After that I did my sled, milk can, and front door.
After a glaze of ice it looks magical

I was able to meet her daughter Taylor and her son Luke and we had so much fun.

~November is a special month…it’s special because everyone can celebrate being thankful. There’s nothing like getting together with family and friends, and enjoying a turkey meal with all the fixings! It’s the one holiday that brings us all together.
I’m thankful that my grandfather (14 generations ago) came to this beautiful country on the Mayflower
William Brewster
I’m thankful for the health of my family,a roof over my head, and plenty of food on the table.I’m also thankful for APP, and Kristine, who has spent endless hours of her own time putting together
Bringing together a great group of people who all share the same love of crafting and decorating!Truly the nicest, and supportive people you’ll meet anywhere!
What are you thankful for?

~We would like to remind you to please use caution when driving on Halloween. We want our children to be safe.
Just about now you may have started, or will start to carve that pumpkin.Don’t throw away those seeds!
![]()
This is what I do every year with my seeds.Pre heat the oven to 325.Simply wash the seeds of all the pumpkin pulp.Spread them evenly onto a cookie sheet. Then drizzle olive oil over them. After that, sprinkle salt over them, making sure to cover all of the seeds.Pop them into the oven and roast for about1hour/or until golden brown and crispy, making sure to stir them every 10 min.
You’ll never eat pumpkin seeds any other way again!
On behalf of Kristine,Sarah,Linda,Char Dana and Bonnie, we would like to say to you to
“ Please Be Safe”
Don’t forget to turn those clocks back 1 hour on Saturday night!
